Many of us will be attending weddings or parties this season. Here is a helpful hint. The place setting. The small dish with the small knife on the left is a bread and butter plate. Your roll and butter is place on it. To the right are your glasses. The small fork and spoon in the middle are for dessert and coffee. Your napkin is usually on the left. When starting dinner place the napkin on your lap. As far as all the utensils you see it all depends what you are eating. Whatever course is severed first then start with the outer utensil. When finished leave it on the side of your dish. The waiter will take it before the next course. When the main course is served use the next utensil. If you have a spoon on your right is usually for soup.
